Update: March 2007

By late Spring/early Summer 2007, phase 1 will have been completed and 33 bedrooms will be ready to be occupied. All the bedrooms are being re-decorated with new carpets, curtains and furniture.

Phase 2 will see the construction of a new 18 bedroom block to be built across the two existing wings, to create a quadrangle.

The kitchen is being completely replaced with all new equipment. A new conservatory style entrance porch has been built. The existing lounge area has been transformed by replacing all the windows with new much larger ones, enabling the residents to have a view of the outside whilst seated. A rear lounge has also been altered to give views through large windows to the quadrangle area, making the room much lighter and sunnier. The quadrangle garden is being landscaped with seating and decorative walkways.

Update: July 2007

Work is progressing well at the new home in Merthyr Tydfil, although the builders are still on site.

We are pleased to announce that there will be an open day to look around the home on the afternoon of Saturday 28th July 2007 Please note however that this does NOT mean the home will be opening on this date.
