Blackpool was the first home to be opened in 1985. Initially, a semi detatched 3 storey Victorian town house was renovated to care for just two elderly sisters and one brother from the local congregation in Blackpool. There was a need for more rooms as more brothers and sisters without family needed care that couldn't be provided by the congregation (you can read more about this in some of our newsletters). After expanding to 3 properties while maintaing the original Victorian style, we are registered to care for 34 elderly brothers and sisters. The garden is a particular highlight, as although this is a town house, the well maintained garden is a large open space for the brothers and sisters to enjoy especially in summer with garden parties and activities. We have a team of experienced carers, 40% of which have been with us for more than 5 years.
