Our newest residential care home, converted from an hotel which we purchased in May 2006. It now has accommodation for 51 residents in individual rooms. All the rooms are furnished with bed, wardrobes, chair(s) and a lockable drawer for valuables. Each room as a colour-matched en-suite WC and sink.
The home stands on an 8 acre site bordering on the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park. It is within reach of the towns of Merthyr Tydfil & Aberdare. Cardiff is 30 minutes away, Swansea approximately 40 minutes, Birmingham 2½ hours, London 3½ hours.
Attached to the home is a newly converted Kingdom Hall. Residents are able to access this directly via an enclosed passageway from the home — a great advantage during cold or inclement weather. At the time of going to press, 17 apartments, each with 2 bedrooms are being planned, to provide sheltered accommodation.
Films and videos are shown regularly on a projection system in the dining room.
