In 1991 a large house in Beechfield Court was purchased. It stood in an acre of mature gardens and surrounded by a very nice Redrow housing estate. Sadly the house was in a derelict condition. At the rear of the property there were many dilapidated stables and other outbuildings.
The main house was restored and renovated first to house 11 elderly brothers and sisters and a plot of land purchased from Redrow adjacent to the site for the eventual building of a manager’s house until which time the manager and family lived in the home.
In 1994 the outbuildings and garages were demolished to make way for an extension that would accommodate more en-suite bedrooms, a new dining room overlooking the garden with a patio either side, laundry room and a new foyer and entrance. The roof void above the old house was renovated to create a hospitality room and a self contained flat for the assistant managers.
